Brunching In Rome

Best restaurants in Rome for brunch

Satisfying that Sunday morning craving for all things savory, sweet, and fattening!

Brunch is certainly a bit of a novelty in Rome. Very few Italian restaurants offer it, and those who do, well, tend to miss the point. Many have tried, and a few have succeeded at putting together a quality brunch in Rome. Below are our tried and true top picks.

Chiostro Del Bramante

Bramante’s cloister is a lovely museum space just behind Piazza Navona. In addition to frequent special events and exhibits, they have a lovely indoor/outdoor wi-fi café. The café is nice for a coffee or light meal any day of the week, but the Sunday Brunch is exceptional. For about 25 Euro they serve eggs cooked to order, cheese or bacon, toasts with Mediterranean vegetables, cured meats, cheeses, fruit salad, yogurt with muesli, choice of cakes and desserts, a mimosa or orange juice, coffee and water.

Hours: Sundays from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Address: Chiostro Del Bramante, Via della Pace

Bibli

This bookstore, café, and chic nightspot offers a delicious international buffet brunch at a reasonable price. As the bookstore sells mostly Italian books, the crowd is a nice mix of Italians, expats, and even a few tourists.

Area: Trastevere

Cost: 15 euro

Hours: 12:30 to 4:30 PM

Address: Via dei Fienaroli, 28

Tel: 06 588 4097

Ristorante Colonna - Palazzo Delle Esposizioni

 Brunch In Rome

This massive museum space has a gorgeous top floor atrium restaurant which is open daily for lunch and dinner. On Sunday the scene transforms into brunch central. At least four buffet tables are packed with several soup options, fresh salads and cheeses, baked pastas and lasagna, local porchetta from Ariccia, several meat entrees, fish, rice salads, cous cous, and a dessert layout that will impress even the most selective of palates.

Colonna

Cost: 28 Euro, drinks excluded

Hours: Saturday-Sunday 12:30 – 3:00 PM

Address; Via Milano 9A (corner of Via Nazionale)
