 Overview

Spending a few days in Rome before your organized cruise or escorted tour? Pickup service at the airport, two comprehensive city sightseeing tours, and private transport to Civitavecchia Port make this the perfect pre-cruise package for Rome.

Day 1: Pickup at FCO airport, transfer to Rome Hotel.

Day 2: 09:15 AM - Walk in the footsteps of Heroes and Tyrants such as Julius Caesar, Nero, and Trajan while learning about the founding of Rome, its steady rise to power, and its collapse. The ancient ruins will come to life as you learn why all roads lead back to Rome! Tour includes the Colosseum and Roman Forum, Palatine Hill (overview from forum), Trevi Fountain (don't forget to toss your coins in!), Pantheon, and Piazza Navona. Tour duration: 3.5 hours approximately.

Day 3: 10:30 AM - Meet at our office just steps from the Vatican for our Vatican City Tour, covering the highlights from arguably the most important collection of art in the world with more than 1,200 rooms. Highlights of this tour include the Rooms of Raphael, the Sistine Chapel, Papal tombs or “Vatacombs” under St. Peter's, and St. Peter's Basilica. This itinerary can also be arranged on same day as Day 2.

This tour is over 2 days. Please note that the Colosseum and Ancient Rome segment is offered on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays only. The Vatican tour segment is offered daily except on Sundays. To set the tour on two different days, please specify this in the remarks section of your booking form.
