F.A.Q.

Do When in Rome Tours clients get to bypass the lines at the Vatican?
PRIVATE TOURS:
When in Rome has access to VIP entrance to bypass lines at the Vatican Museums. In order to obtain these tickets, a 10 Euro booking fee per person is charged in addition to the cost of the private tour. Preferred entry is only offered at 8:30, 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 AM.

GROUP TOURS:
Our group tours are scheduled to depart at 12:20 PM, after peak lines and crowding have gone down. On most days, we walk right in to the Vatican museums without waiting at all. On some days, there is a short wait to pass through security. On Saturdays line time is inevitable (except by booking a private tour in advance) and some  more

Day Trip to Pompeii

An amazing journey to discover the ruins of one of nature's most devastating volcanic eruptions in one of the most typical regions of southern Italy.

A full day bus tour to Pompeii, where our guide will lead you on an archaeological journey through the ancient ruins of this city. In approx. 2 hours you will see what archeologists have discovered from more than 1,700 years ago when Pompeii was covered by ashes during the eruption of Vesuvius in the year 79 AD. Through the remains and ruins of this ancient city, we can picture the everyday life of the Imperial Age and imagine the panic felt by the people in their last moments before the city was so disastrously buried.
